We support our community by providing education about options to create meaningful, personal rites of passage at death. Our session will explore the options of family-led after-death care (aka "home funerals"), and the earth-friendly option of green burial. Green burial means no embalmed bodies, biodegradable funerary wares (caskets etc.), in a setting with natural landscaping, usually native vegetation and low resource usage, avoiding chemical pesticides and fertilizers. We have heard that our guidance has given participants the knowledge and above all, the confidence to create beautiful, meaningful, and affordable rites of passage at death that are life-changing for the bereaved, and profoundly honoring of the dead. Our presentation will cover these topics and will also include a reflective, artistic activity. Note: The Death Cafe Boulder County is a local partner in end-of-life issues. We support their endeavors and encourage you to attend their presentation at this conference.
Note that we will be one session in a two-day conference. For more info and to register CLICK HERE.
